Overview
CV Rapid Response is a computer vision security monitoring system designed for emergency room environments. It processes video streams in real-time to detect people and other objects using YOLOv8, generating synchronized frame-by-frame detection reports and annotated videos with bounding boxes for security analysis.
Problem
Emergency rooms face unique security challenges including unauthorized access, patient elopement risks, aggressive behavior detection, and tracking of people in restricted areas. Manual video monitoring is labor-intensive, prone to human error, and cannot scale to monitor multiple camera feeds simultaneously. Traditional security systems lack the intelligence to automatically detect and categorize security events, requiring constant human oversight. Security personnel must watch multiple feeds continuously, making it impossible to catch every incident in real-time. Post-incident review is time-consuming without automated detection and annotation.
